Sauromatum

Sauromatum, also referred to as the’ voodoo lily’.    A spectacular plant for the shady area of your garden. Produces a large, purple-speckled, tubular spathe.  The tropical looking foliage with stems that are speckled dark and light green,  follows once the flower (spathe) has died back,  the foliage will remain through to the frost.   This plant will multiply quickly giving you large clumps.  A must for the gardeners who enjoy the exotic. Native habitat; Himalayas.

Flowering time: July.   Foliage: July – Late October.
Flower Height: 20-25 cm.  Foliage Height: 45-50 cm.
