Description
Sauromatum Venosum. Hardy. Clump forming. Perennial. A spectacular plant for the shady area of your garden. Produces a large, purple-speckled, tubular spathe. The tropical looking foliage with stems that are speckled dark and light green, follows once the flower (spathe) has died back, the foliage will remain through to the frost. This plant will multiply quickly giving you large clumps. A must for the gardeners who enjoy the exotic. Native habitat; Himalayas.

Planting Guide
Plant: March 15 cm deep. Spacing 25 cm. Flowers May-June. Height 20-25cm.
Hardy, Clump forming. Perennial. This plant loves a shady sheltered site and will thrive in any well drained soil. The bottom of the bulb is the rounded smooth side. you will see the growing tip at the top, the roots also grow from the top of the bulb. The flowers always appear first, the foliage follows after flowering and last through to the frost.
Propagation: By collecting the seeds after flowering or dividing the offsets in the winter.
