Iris Germanica, English Cottage, (Bearded Iris). Hardy. Perennial. Prefers full sun with well drained soil. Bearded Iris are a popular choice amongst gardeners throughout the UK, grown for their elegant exotic flowers which are borne on tall stems during early Summer. Very easy to grow and will grace your garden for years to come.

Planting Guide
Plant: March. Spacing 30 cm. Flowers May-June. Height 60 – 80 cm.
Hardy. Perennial. Grow in full sun with well-drained soil. Dig a hole 16 cm deep and twice as wide as the rhizome, build a small mound in the middle, place the rhizome on top with the root trailing down, backfill with soil and thinly cover the top. Firm soil down and water in.
Propagation: Divide Rhizomes in late summer, by pulling apart, clip off the foliage half way down and replant.
