Fritillaria Persica
£4.50 – £35.00
Description
Fritillaria Persica. Fully hardy. Perennial. These magnificent plants need a site that is well-drained with half sun and half shade, they can cope with full sun but the flowers last longer with partial shade. Drainage is quite important with these plants as the bulbs are made up of fleshing scales and can be prone to rotting if sitting in water. A little bit of sharp sand mixed in with the soil helps quite considerably. As long as the drainage is right these bulbs are very easy to grow, they put on a magnificent display, growing to a height of 100 cm during the months of April and May. They can be planted in the herbaceous border or as a centrepiece on their own, either way the look fantastic.
Bulb Size 24 up, Large bulbs.
