Allium Silverspring, The sweetly scented double florets that make up this amazing ball of colour are absolutely stunning. Unlike other alliums, it has two colours topped by those dark shiny blackcurrant seeds in the middle of each floret, the flowering height of this beauty is 70-90cm, making it perfect for herbaceous borders or as centre pieces in flowerbeds. They can also be grown in large pots or container.

Plant: late September – November. 10cm deep. Spacing 25cm. Flowers May-June. Flower height 70-90cm.
Hardy. Perennial. Needs well-drained, fertile soil. Full sun or half shade. Feed with a slow release fertilizer. Ideal for borders, if growing in containers, make sure the bulbs have plenty of root space and feed with a slow release liquid feed, Growmore is ideal.
Propagate: When bulbs are overcrowded, lift once the flower stem has dried out and comes away from the bulbs easily. Separate the bulbs and store in a cool dark place, replant in the autumn.
