Description
Allium Nectaroscordum. This allium needs dappled shade in order to look its best, under trees or in the herbaceous border would be an ideal location. Although this plant is not classified as an allium its habits and bulb appearance is very much alike. The flowers droop downwards on top of a stem 80-100cm tall. It is best grown in clumps to produce a good impact.

Planting Guide
Plant: late September to late November. 10cm deep. Spacing 25cm. Flowers May-June. Flower Height 80-100 cm
Hardy. Perennial. Needs well-drained, fertile soil. Partial dappled shade. Feed with a slow release fertilizer. Ideal for borders, if growing in containers, make sure the bulbs have plenty of root space and feed with a slow release liquid feed, Growmore is ideal.
Propagate by lifting the bulbs in late July, divide the bulbs, store in a cool dark place and replant in the autumn.
