Description
Allium ‘Purple Sensation’ Robust, frost-hardy perennial. Thrives in conditions ranging from half to full sun and prefers well-drained soil. This species is particularly well-suited for herbaceous borders. It is one of the most commonly cultivated alliums, featuring deep purple blooms slightly larger than a tennis ball, reaching a height of 60 to 70 cm.

Planting Guide
Plant: late September to late November. 10cm deep. Spacing 25cm. Flowers May-June. Flower height 60- 70 cm.
Hardy. Perennial. Needs well-drained, fertile soil. Full sun or half shade. Feed with a slow release fertilizer. Ideal for borders, if growing in containers, make sure the bulbs have plenty of root space and feed with a slow release liquid feed, Growmore is ideal.
Propagate: When bulbs are overcrowded, lift once the flower stem has dried out and comes away from the bulbs easily. Separate the bulbs and store in a cool dark place, replant in the autumn.
