Description
Allium Purple sensation. Robust, frost hardy, clump forming perennial. Thrives best in half to full sun, with well-drained soil. Ideal for the herbaceous border. This is probably the most common allium. It has lovely purple flowers slightly bigger than a tennis ball and grows to a height of 60-70 cm.
Bulb Size 12/14, Top Size large bulbs giving you maximum growth allowing the bulb to divide and double your stock for the following year.

Planting Guide
Plant: late September to late November. 10cm deep. Spacing 25cm. Flowers May-June. Flower height 60- 70 cm.
Hardy. Perennial. Needs well-drained, fertile soil. Full sun or half shade. Feed with a slow release fertilizer. Ideal for borders, if growing in containers, make sure the bulbs have plenty of root space and feed with a slow release liquid feed, Growmore is ideal.
Propagate: When bulbs are overcrowded, lift once the flower stem has dried out and comes away from the bulbs easily. Separate the bulbs and store in a cool dark place, replant in the autumn.
