Allium Atropurpureum. Hardy. Perennial. This allium carries a rich, dark purple bloom from June – July. You could grow Allium Atropurpureum with Allium Silverspring, the two contrasting blooms would compliment each other.

Planting Guide
Plant: late September to late November. 10cm deep. Spacing 25cm. Flowers May-June.
Hardy. Perennial. Needs well-drained, fertile soil. Full sun or half shade. Feed with a slow release fertilizer. Ideal for borders, if growing in containers, make sure the bulbs have plenty of root space and feed with a slow release liquid feed, Growmore is ideal.
Propagate by lifting the bulbs in late July, divide the bulbs, store in a cool dark place and replant in the autumn.
