Description
Allium Atropurpureum is beautiful, the strong dark purple will add impact to your garden, the flowering time is from June – July slightly later than the other border alliums. Another allium that will complement this deep purple allium is the Allium Silverspring that flowers around the same time, holding dark purple seeds with purple inner petals.

Planting Guide
Plant: late September to late November. 10cm deep. Spacing 25cm. Flowers May-June.
Hardy. Perennial. Needs well-drained, fertile soil. Full sun or half shade. Feed with a slow release fertilizer. Ideal for borders, if growing in containers, make sure the bulbs have plenty of root space and feed with a slow release liquid feed, Growmore is ideal.
Propagate by lifting the bulbs in late July, divide the bulbs, store in a cool dark place and replant in the autumn.
