Description
Allium flavum is a distinctive species that blooms slightly later than the more commonly found uniform varieties. It produces bright yellow flowers on slender stems. The foliage will die back during the flowering period, making it well-suited for growing among other plants.

Planting Guide
Plant: Late September to late November. 8 cm deep. Spacing 5-10 cm. Flowers June. Flower Height 30-40 cm.
Hardy. Perennial. Needs well-drained, fertile soil. Full sun or half shade. Feed with a slow release fertilizer. Ideal for borders, if growing in containers, make sure the bulbs have plenty of root space and feed with a slow release liquid feed, Growmore is ideal.
Propagate by lifting overcrowded clumps in late July, divide the bulbs, store in a cool dark place and replant in the autumn.
