Description
Tigridia Pavonia Alba, Half-hardy. Perennial. Suitable for growing in a summer border. Prefers well-drained soil and a warm, sheltered site. The flowers are of exotic beauty. Each one lasts for only a day but a succession appears for several weeks at the end of summer. The colours are marvellous.
Native habitat: Grasslands of Mexico. Large Bulbs Supplied, size 7/9.

Planting Guide
Plant: Late April with 8 cm of soil on top of the bulb. Spacing 15 cm. Flowers July-September. Height 45cm.
Half Hardy. Perennial. Requires full sun along with well-drained fertile soil, performs well; close to a south facing wall. Can also be grown in large pots or containers. When ground is dry, give plenty of water and feed with a slow release liquid fertilizer. Short lived flowers are produced in succession for several weeks. Mulch over in winter to protect from frost.
Propagation: By removing offsets in autumn, replant in spring.
