Description
Liatris Spicata. Fully hardy. Perennial. Prefers sun along with well-drained soil. Gayfeather and Button Snakeroot are other names for Liatris. Tall wands appear in summer tightly packed with feathery – like flowers. Great in large pots or in a herbaceous border.

Planting Guide
Plant: March-April. 5 cm deep. Spacing 30 cm. Flowers July-August. Height 70-80 cm.
Hardy. Perennial. Needs a sunny position, along with well-drained rich fertile soil. It is best to start these bulbs in pots first to allow them to root; the flat smooth side is the bottom of the bulb. Once rooted, remove from the pot and plant in the desired place Make sure the plants have plenty of water and feed (slow release fertilizer) during the growing season.
Propagation: Divide over crowded clumps in spring.
