Description
Kniphofia Uvaria Grandiflora (red hot poker). This plant is happy in full sun or partial shade with well drained soil. Produces tall stems; up to 3ft tall of bright, large bicolour, orange and yellow flowers throughout the months of July, August and September. The strap like pointed foliage forms evergreen clumps which are equally attractive. Bees along with other pollinating insects are attracted to this plant.

Planting Guide
Plant: March-April with 2 cm of soil above the crown. Spacing 30 cm. Flowers July-October. Height 80-100cm.
Hardy. Perennial. Full sun or partial shade with well-drained soil is needed. Dig a hole around 15 cm deep, create a cone of soil in the middle, place the Kniphofia on top of the cone spreading the roots over the sides and back fill. You need 2 cm of soil on top of the crown. Mulch after planting and water in.
Propagation: Divide overcrowded clumps in spring.
