Curcuma Zedoaria ‘Snow White’. (White Turmeric). Half Hardy, Perennial. This Beautiful exotic plant is native to India. There are many different varieties of Curcuma, this variety is a strong easy to grow plant. It is best to start the rhizome in a large pot indoors or in the greenhouse. Once growing can be placed outside, dappled shade is needed. The foliage is attractive, tall and has a purple stripe through middle; the florescent cone-like flowers are produced during late summer.

Planting Guide
Plant: March with 5-10 cm of soil on top of the rhizome. Spacing 20 cm. Flowers July-September. Height 75 cm.
Frost tender. Perennial. Start growing in a 4 ltr pot in the greenhouse, conservatory or indoors. Use a good multipurpose compost, once planted add some bone-meal around the edge of the pot and water in. Once the weather has warmed up the plants can stand outside during the summer months, they will need to placed in dappled shade. In the winter bring the pots indoors or into the greenhouse to protect from frost.
