Description
Calanthe Reflexa (hardy Orchid) Hardy. Perennial. This beautiful orchid from Japan flowers later in the year any time from August through to Early October. The flower stems reach a height of 25 cm, carrying 5-10 two toned flowers that are lightly scented. Needs light to moderate shade or morning sun along with well-drained humus rich soil.

Planting Guide
Plant: March-April, with the rhizome below the soil and the new shoots above. Spacing 10-15 cm. Height 25-35 cm.
Will flower anytime between August through to early October.
Hardy. Perennial. Plant indoors using humus rich potting medium. Can been grown in the greenhouse, conservatory or outside in sheltered semi-shaded area away from strong sunlight. Keep continually moist when the foliage starts to grow but also allow for good drainage so the rhizome does not sit in water. Feed with a good slow release fertilizer and you will be rewarded with a cascade of blooms.
