Caladium Carolyn Whorton. Frost tender. Perennial. Caladiums thrive in partial shade that has moist but well-drained soil. This tropical plant produces fantastic colourful foliage that is produced in abundance throughout the summer months. An Interesting plant that can be grown outside or in the greenhouse.

Plant: March-April. 2 cm of soil on top of the bulb. Spacing 90 cm. Foliage grows all summer long.
Frost tender. Perennial. These bulbs need to be kept away from the cold, start indoors or in a heated greenhouse, a 4lt pot is a good size for each bulb. Use a good humus rich compost that is free draining. Start watering once the plant has started growing, if compost is very dry to start with dampen slightly. They can be placed outside during the summer months, keep away from direct strong sunlight so not to scorch. Lift the bulbs in winter and store in warm
dry environment and replanted in March.
