Description
Amorphophallus Bulbifer. Frost tender perennial (min 5c) This bulb is for the gardener who enjoys unusual plants. Produces a large, dramatic, pink spathe, along with a speckled pink and green mottled stem. Requires partial shade with moist well-drained soil. The flower is followed by palm tree like foliage.

Planting Guide
Plant: Late March-April. 12-15 cm deep. Spacing 60-100 cm. Flowers June-July. Height 40 cm.
The rounded side of the bulb is the bottom, the roots come from the top.
Half Hardy. Perennial. It is always best to start these bulbs off in pots either in a greenhouse or somewhere warm, covering the top of the bulb with 1 inch of soil, once growing plant in the ground 12 – 15 cm deep to protect from frost. If you are planning on keeping the bulb in a pot, once growing plant the recommended depth of 12 – 15 cm. Use a John Innes No. 1 or 2 compost. It is best not to water after planting until the bulb has rooted. Once flowered or in growth you can plant out in a shaded area of the garden. Mulch in winter to protect from frost.
Propagation: By removing offsets in spring or summer.
