Amaryllis Belladonna Alba. Robust hardy perennial. This variety of Amaryllis is for growing outdoors. In cool areas they need to be grown against a south facing wall, in a warm sunny spot. Make sure the soil is well-drained not clay. Strap leaves appear in spring and die down in early summer. Flowers will appear in early autumn, producing clusters of 6-12 fragrant, funnel shaped blooms. Native habitat – south Africa. Other bulbs to Compliment Amaryllis Belladonna are the Crinum powellii and the Amarcrinum bulbs. which are all part of the same family.
