Description
Allium Summer Drummer. Robust, frost hardy, clump forming perennial. Thrives best in half to full sun, with well-drained soil. Ideal for the herbaceous border. Grows to a height of 130cm – 180cm. A tall allium that flowers later than most of the others, summer drummer compliments allium forelock even though forelock has generally finished flowering, the structure of forelock is still standing holding seed heads, thus looks good with summer drummer.

Planting Guide
Plant: late September to late November. 10cm deep. Spacing 25cm. Flowers June. Height 130-180 cm
Hardy. Perennial. Needs well-drained, fertile soil. Full sun or half shade. Feed with a slow release fertilizer. Ideal for borders, if growing in containers, make sure the bulbs have plenty of root space and feed with a slow release liquid feed, Growmore is ideal.
Propagate: When bulbs are overcrowded, lift one the flower stem has dried out and comes away from the bulb easily. Separate the bulbs, store in a cool dark place and replant in the autumn.
