Chionodoxa Forbesii. Hardy, Clump forming, perennial. Needs well-drained soil in sun or light shade. These bulbs are becoming increasingly popular for spring flowering. The dainty starry shaped blooms appear during early March, and last for about 3 4 weeks. They only grow to a height of 10-15 cm, which makes them perfect for naturalizing in rockeries, or in the grassland as you would with crocus, snowdrops, bluebells and Daffodils. The bulbs naturally increase each year, you can divide the clumps in May and replant. Chionodoxa are a lovely adage to any garden, there is always a space for them, being in the rockery, grassland, front borders or simply in pots. Chionodoxa are Native to the mountainous regions of Crete and Turkey.
